Carey Mulligan in Prada at the Oscars
She is just too cute. I must note that I have a thing for that pixie look. My favorite actresses (when based solely on the very important factor of looks) are Audrey Hepburn and Natalie Portman.

Aside from her cute little face and adorable pixie cut, I love everything about her Oscar night look. On a night with precious few standouts and more than a few downright what-were-you-thinking looks, everything about Carey's outfit is right. The short in front, long in back Prada dress. The gorgeous beading. Her dangly earrings as the only jewelry. Her understated make-up. Those shoes!! *swoon*
And now I find out that she played Kitty in the not-as-good-as-the-BBC-version of Pride and Prejudice. One thing about the not-as-good-as-the-BBC-version - aside from Keira Knightly, whose acting tends to irritate me (charming pixie looks aside), I thought the girls who played the sisters in the not-as-good-as-the-BBC-version were very good. (Especially Rosamund Pike as Jane - she was perfect!) (As for our dear Lizzie, Jennifer Ehle will always be Lizzie in my mind.)

I hate to crush your crush (I'm sorry), but Natalie Portman is not a nice woman. I have been told this both by multiple people who are, like me, from Long Island and knew Natalie there, and from two people who attended Harvard at the same time she did. Also, look at how the middle of her chest caves in, in that picture! Horrifying to look at!
You know who was cute with a pixie? Michelle Williams from Dawson's Creek.
I've heard that before, but I still like her. She seems smarter than so many of the Pretty Young Thing set. (But yes, the concave chest is rather disturbing. But I still think she's gorgeous. Gawd, I'm such a fangirl.
Michelle Williams is cute! And she has great style. I like her a lot. I'll have to think about that...maybe I'll have to make a Top 10 Hollywood Girl Crush list. I think she'd make the top 10. :)
WOW! I didn't recognize her as Kitty until you said. Geez, what kind of P&P fanatic am I? I'm a disgrace. And Carey/Kitty is definitely adorable.

Okay, this totally reflects on my age... but I think Ellen Degeneres is absolutely adorable and will always have a little crush on her. AND she's funny. Oh, and so is her partner, Portia... I think I'm too old to crush on any of your selections. Haha. I always like Natalie Portman... I had no idea she is rumored to be mean! :-( But, I agree - I do like her for her smarts...
